Responding to tens of millions of CyberTipline reports concerning offenders and child victims around the world, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) will share the current landscape of online child sexual exploitation. Heather M. Girton has been with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) since 2015 and currently serves as a Program Specialist within the CyberTipline. In her role she is responsible for improving the process of the CyberTipline, law enforcement relations, and overseeing management staff responsible for specialized projects including ESP relations, records management, and analysis regarding ongoing and emerging trends. Additionally, Ms. Girton represents the ECD through presentations and trainings with international and domestic law enforcement and she contributes to projects that work to provide customized processing approaches. Ms. Girton has her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice.
